: we were able to rescue some large
: revoluta's(16" w x 3-4' clear
: trunk) from a construction site but
: had to do the digging in a hurry due
: to an impending tractor haircut
: which left them with a considerable
: amount of ragged roots and the main
: tap root has been cut. Anything you
: can suggest. Should we trim the
: ragged tips and seal them, let them
: air dry for a day or two, then
: spray with fungicide prior to
: planting. they are going to be
: planted in containers.

These can be just fine even if taken with no roots at all. You also need to look at my transplanting article in my website for all your answers, but real fast, cut all the leaves off, make a fresh cut on anything damaged so you can apply Daconil at once, let that dry and paint all root wounds with black tree paint, then do what I say with transplanting and reading the offset article in the same section will give you insight on planting cycads that have been treated for damage.
