: Has anyone tried regular coffee (first
: time brewed) as an insecticide? I
: read the article about re-brewing
: grounds and just wondered about
: leftover coffee.

Regular brewed coffee works just fine. if it is being thrown away anyway. I didn't want to tell people a way that is actually would cost them oney, so the used grounds was a free way to take care of the problem. I would say you could cut the old coffee about 1 to 1, or 2 parts water to 1 part coffee. That would depend on the insect and the coffee being used. The only down side is that the first brewed coffee is way more acidic, but if all you are doing is spraying once, I don't think a few times like this would throw off the pH too far off.
