Sago palm white spots

I have had my sago palm for about 7 months. Bought in summer months it was outdoors until now. I live in the midwest, so it is indoors. It has developed a white powdery substance on the undersides of leaves, and now one branch has turned brown. Is there anything I can do to keep my baby safe?
