: It really depends on what your
: worrying about. If the leaves are
: just pushing out and you are worried
: that the leaves will only get half
: size before they just stop coming
: out, that is probably unavoidable. I
: guess I should ask what temperatures
: you are expecting, because if it is
: above freezing, all you would have
: to worry about would be the dwarf
: looking new leaves.
: If the leaves are just coming
: out and you are going to freeze in a
: few days, I'd have to put out 4
: stakes and cover the thing with some
: 8 degree frost cloth, and you should
: be fine. If the leaves are close to
: full size and you are expecting a
: frost in the next couple of weeks,
: then there is a trick to try. If the
: leaves are full size, they will
: normally take about 3 weeks to
: harden off. If you spray full sized
: leaves with some of that green
: fungicide that is copper based, many
: times, I have had leaves harden off
: in 3 to 5 days.
:
I expect cooler temps., but not a freeze. I think i'll probably get what you mentioned first, with the leaves just being smaller. So the plant should be o.k., just smaller leaves.
Thanks,
Mark
