: Apologies in advance if this is in the
: articles. I didn't see it.
:
: I have some dioon edules that I
: bought and planted back in May or
: June. The leaflets are beginning to
: grow dark on the ends, and then more
: of a yellow toward the stem. But
: the dark area seems to be expanding
: toward the stem.

: Any idea what causes this? Minerals
: maybe?

Its hard to say without a picture, but it sounds more like that the plant is not pushing enough water to the ends of the leaflets to keep them green. It could be several things, but there is always a ratio between how much water is given to the plant and the root system being able to push the water properly against how hot it is at the time and how much sun it gets. If the need for water exceeds the amount getting to the leaves, what you describe is exactly what happens.
