I planted a Cycas revoluta from a 10 gal pot in April of this year that has yet to flush, but does look healthy. I've had the plant for 3 years and it has always flushed in mid June. When I planted it I just took it out of the pot and placed it in the hole. I did not disturb any of the roots. Could this be the reason for it's lack of growth this year?
When planting cycads should you loosen the roots at all before planting?
It's planted in a raised bed of sandy loam that's moist, well-drained and gets morning shade and full afternoon sun.
Thanks! Paul
