: I checked the questions sent in and
: your articles. Perhaps I didn't
: realize you were answering my
: question because I didn't notice the
: answer. I have a 16 year sago palm
: that seems healthy but I haven't
: done anything to it since we built
: the house. Its gotten too wide due
: to pups not being removed. I didn't
: know to do that. It looks like
: numerous mature sagos are enmassed
: together. Is it possible to take it
: back to one trunk? Its next to my
: house and needs to be more
: controlled. How can I do remove the
: very large trunks and leave one?
: Thank you for any help.

Keep in mind you don't HAVE to remove the offsets. Now, if you WANT to remove the offsets to a single stem, then I have an article for that. Keep in mind that when you remove offsets, you make a damage point where more offsets will be produced, so when you remove them, that will not keep your plant with one stem. It will however, take a long time before it becomes a big clump like that again. Look in my article section on most asked questions, and it will give you all the details on removing, treating ,and planting offsets. Remember to treat the parent plant too. Some people forget to do that and sometimes they lose the parent plant.
