Hi I have a large Cycas Revoluta (was about 4' of trunk). The top has completely rotted. I think the reason it rotted is because it didn't have any roots to speak of when I bought it. That coupled with some wet UK summers. Anyway I've cut it back to good stem, dipped in fungicide and painted top with sealer. 6 months later and there's no sign of either roots or top growth - is it likely that it will send out new top growth e.g. from pups? How long does it normally take?Any help appreciated.
