Okay. I only have 14 seeds, so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to get the seed coat off. Thanks again for your help!!

: Hi, Tom,
:
: I'm back with another question! I
: just received some Cycas Circinalis
: seeds and am not sure what to do
: with them. Unlike my Cycas Revoluta
: and Cycas Thouarsii seeds, these
: have a red, wrinkly-looking shell on
: them. Does this shell need to be
: cleaned off, or do I plant them as
: is? So far, I've had them soaking
: in water for two days.
: Also, all but one of the seeds is
: floating, but I think that's normal
: for this species...right?
:
: Thanks for your help!
:
: The red is probably the seed coat
: that has just dried up a little. It
: DOES need to come off. Unless you
: have piles of these seeds, I'd just
: take the stuff off with a pocket
: knife or something. Yes, Cycas
: rumphii seeds should float just like
: thoursii.
