Hi Tom,
Thanks for all the useful info on your site. We have about 6 large and medium King(?) Sagos around our pool. Two of them were there when we bought the property and the others we planted when we put in the pool about 2 yrs ago. Since we have a lot of pups around all of them I began to research how to remove them for our gardener's information. While reading your page I got some great ideas and went out to look them over and begin planning which to remove. To my surprise when I looked closely at them all...I noticed a tan fuzzy like substance on the bark part of the sagos (not really on the leaves) The trunks look a bit whitish as well. I want to know if this is some sort of fungus or what it is so I can treat them right away. We had a very bad frost this winter so we covered them. They seem to be alright except for that funk. Can you help? I can e-mail you a picture if you need it. Thanks. Oh btw we live in central California (Fresno area).
Thanks again,
~Paula
