This all depends on if you want to cut off offset plants, or if you would to mutilate your whole plant into samll pieces. You can remove each apex and make new plants out of them, or if you have never done this before, you can kill your whole plant. The process of cutting up, treating and healing is in 2 different articles. The most asked question section deals with offsets, (which is good to read first) and then read "never throw away a cycad" for more details on what is possible. I personally would not attempt this unless you are pretty good at this kind of thing.
