: I potted up a Ceratozamia that I
: bought locally about 8 months ago.
: About a month ago, much to my
: surprise and confusion, a Bowenia
: popped up in the same pot. Now the
: pot is getting a bit crowded. I was
: wondering if there are any
: concerns/tips for seperating these
: two plants and repotting the
: Bowenia.
:
: Also, I think the Bowenia is
: serrulata, but the early leaf was
: rust/copper colored. I this a
: characteristic for serrulata?
: Thanks!

Just be careful taking them apart. They should sperate with no problem, you just don't want to break any roots. The color you mention, I have seen before, but usually more on the tineroo plants. (which do almost always have that color on new leaves.)
