A Bowenia in my Ceratozamia pot

I potted up a Ceratozamia that I bought locally about 8 months ago. About a month ago, much to my surprise and confusion, a Bowenia popped up in the same pot. Now the pot is getting a bit crowded. I was wondering if there are any concerns/tips for seperating these two plants and repotting the Bowenia.
Also, I think the Bowenia is serrulata, but the early leaf was rust/copper colored. I this a characteristic for serrulata?
