No, I put together the formula mainly for myself to use it in containers, since I have 30,000 cycads in containers. Even the application rate talks about the rate per container size. It works well for in ground plants too, but containers is what I originally made it for. The instructions on the label is what I have found is best and I would not do anything differently.
