: Hi Tom, I have 4 Cycas Revoluta's in
: pots that range from 8 to 15 years
: old. They are in excellent
: condition. The issue is that they
: are in my garage where the temps.
: have been ranging from 36-45 degrees
: on average, long term is this going
: to have a detrimental effect on
: their overall condition? Should I be
: thinking about moving them into a
: warmer setting? Next weeks forecast
: looks like they would be possibly
: subjected to prolonged 25-30
: temps.for most of the week. I have
: kept them on the dry side for the
: last few weeks. Thanks for your
: help.

The temperatures you are talking about and the amount of time you arte talking about, is no big deal. You are wanting to keep these plants dormant anyway, because if you were to force new leaves inside, they would look real long and stringy because they are sun stretched. Under cover, a sago can handle into the upper teens before the leaves will even burn off, so you should be just fine.
