It was in the twenties for five or six hours last night (or so the weather men warned) and I wrapped my seven foot diameter Cycas revluta in thermal wrap with a heat source. It looks like a large igloo on my front yard. I have had it since it was a one foot baby for ten years. This is the first time I wrapped it up to protect it and I hope I did enough. It is supposed to get cold again tonight then back up into the 70’s by Thursday. My question is how will I know if it made it through the freeze alright and will I be able to tell right away? If some leaves get damaged should I remove them or is there anything to look for or steps to take after I remove my plant from it’s temporary igloo? Thank you for your help!
