Posted by Tom Broome I still have some dioon edule seeds, but this is the last time I will be sending you a list with these on it. I will, however offer them in my forum for a short period of time, you all just get to see what I make available before anyone else. E-mail me with what you want, and I will get back to you with a total including shipping. When asking for seeds, please tell me where you live so I can get the total correct, thanks, Tom

I have a few new seeds available. I have about 300 Zamia amblyphyllidia seeds. This is a wide leaf, pumila type that comes from Puerto Rico. This is the green emergent form, but it is possible to get a few rare brown emergent seedlings. The seeds are $1.25 each in groups of 10 and $1 if you buy 100 at a time. They can be planted now, or wait till spring because they are not cleaned yet.
I have some “coontie” seeds available. This is the native cycad to the US, or more specifically, Florida. These should be called Zamia floridana. The seeds are from a form that has medium wide leaflets. They are 15 cents each in groups of 20 or more.
I have one palm seed available. Wodyetia bifurcata, or the Foxtail Palm is a very nice crownshaft palm with very feathery leaves. It doesn’t handle temperatures below 28F very well, but makes a very nice landscape plant in the southern, or warmer areas. The seeds are 25 cents each in groups of 10 and 20 cents each in groups above 50. These seeds are fairly large, so if you order a lot of these I may ship in a flat rate box to save you on postage.
I have 2 types of Dioon edule this year. These are the 2 best types that I will be able to find and will make great landscape plants for my nursery and for yours.
The first is the Dioon edule from Queretaro. These are some of the most sought after edule seeds. They come from high elevation and are considered some of the most cold hardy of all the forms. Some Queretaro plants are dwarf and blue. The rest are still smaller, but have a reddish emergent leaf. These are the small type that some people call Dioon angustifolium, or Dioon edule, angustifolium type, depending on who you talk to. They are a little slower growing though, than the larger green emergent forms. I am going to make these available this year for 75 cents each when you buy in groups of 10.
A new type for me is the Dioon edule from Palma Sola. These seeds have been so expensive that I didn’t want to buy any, but people have raved about this plant for so long, I made the investment this year. They are the large growing, green emergent type of edule. I have been told that they are the fastest growing edule type that exists. I will find out for myself this year and can report back next year, especially if I decide to get some next year. Some of the seeds are twice the size as the Queretaro seeds, so that sounds encouraging. These seeds are $1.00 each in groups of 10.
