That is a lot of questions and some are extremely complicated. Luckily I have written articles on most of those subjects. My advanced germination article for example, talks about the medium for germination and growing out. Seeds will take a certian time depending on the genus and species, so there is no pat answer to the waiting time, but I do have a chart in that same article.
