Anyone have any idea why Zamia's would start to cone and then stop halfway through the process? I've seen this happen with traumatized plants in the past, but this spring it's happening to a few specimens that had no obvious trauma, while adjacent plants (same species, sitting on either side) are coning without incident. Thanks.
