I just started checking my plants thoroughly last night, and some of the stems were completely rotten :( Luckily some of the stems didn't rot, so I'm hopefull those will sprout new leaves soon. Some of them had only partially rotted, so i removed the rotten parts and treated the plants like you described in your "Never Throw Away a Cycad" article hopefully those will survive to..
I should probably not have moved these plants outside into the cold when the leaves started to dry. I will NOT be making that mistake again!
Do you think I should dig up and check the roots of the plants that do have firm stems for rot?
Thanks a lot for your help it is very much appreciated!
