this (below) caught my eye from the interview linked. She added that she will not line up with the elite women's field, but will start with the pack of regular runners. I hope to be in simular shape...who knows might be fun if we end up working together for some or all of it! This will be my 12th NYC.

And later on the article we read... "Three years ago, Samuelson ran the final 16 miles of the NYC Marathon to help pace Lance Armstrong to a sub-3 hour marathon"

a remember something about that...one of the clearest memories I will ever have is just coming down the Queensboro Bridge(mile 15.7) into Manhattan suddenly a plastic water bottle was tangled up in our (the Lance train) feet I was running one stride in front of Lance and Joanie and swerved sharply, pointing at it I screamed "water bottle!" It was a real ankle breaker and am glad nobody went down. Talked with her "briefly" last week @ B2B and she asked if you were coming down, and I told her that you needed to host the Annual "Mud-fest", which provoked a funny look; Hey, take her out for a few laps in the clam flats for the LONG run... 10ks are nice but now I prefer 4+ of them back to back. Joanie still has pretty good wheels at those distances but I have no delusions of putting much effort chasing the ghosts of the glory days that will never be caught...by me!
