10ks are nice but now I prefer 4+ of them back to back. Joanie still has pretty good wheels at those distances but I have no delusions of putting much effort chasing the ghosts of the glory days that will never be caught...by me! The Gladstones are true Crows, love those guys! --Previous Message-- : Talked with her "briefly" last week : @ B2B and she asked if you were coming down, : and I told her that you needed to host the : Annual "Mud-fest", which provoked : a funny look; Hey, take her out for a few : laps in the clam flats for the LONG run... : Enjoy!! : ps- bumped into Bruce + Georgianna from : N.J., as well @ B2B, and they said : "Hello" : : --Previous Message-- : a remember something about that...one of the : clearest memories I will ever have is just : coming down the Queensboro Bridge(mile 15.7) : into Manhattan suddenly a plastic water : bottle was tangled up in our (the Lance : train) feet I was running one stride in : front of Lance and Joanie and swerved : sharply, pointing at it I screamed : "water bottle!" It was a real : ankle breaker and am glad nobody went down. : : I just had a e-mail from Joanie and she is : coming up to Acadia later this month so I'm : in hopes to schedule a long run with her and : I'll find out directly from the horses mouth : what her plans might be at NYC. : : --Previous Message-- : And later on the article we read... : : "Three years ago, Samuelson ran the : final 16 miles of the NYC Marathon to help : pace Lance Armstrong to a sub-3 hour : marathon" : : : : :
