I had a great time at the Cranberry Island Ultra and plan on running again next year along with my wife and son. Kudos to Gary and Mary for a organizing such a great event. Dave Goodrich it was very nice to have met you. You had a smile any time I see you during the race. No wonder you have no trouble running such a busy schedule. Good luck at your next ultra in Massachusetts this Friday. You are a Maine-iac! Dave Nevitt the GCI champ from Canada. You kicked my butt and I am sure you'll be back to defend your title. I enjoyed chatting with you for 20 miles or so but I am not sure I enjoyed seeing you blow me away somewhere around 34-35 miles. I'll be gunning for you in 2009. I'm sure I will see you on the road somewhere soon. Mike Brooks the ultra marathon man keep logging the miles. I enjoyed hearing about many of your around the world of running adventures. Joe Dutton we need to get after Dave N next year. Hogan loved running along with you and getting 26.2. Thanks for making him feel appreciated. Roger, Glad to hear you'll be back! Can't wait to get after it with you and Dave again next year! It was a pleasure meeting your family. Hey Roger. Thanks for contributing to a great running experience. I thought you would be the guy to take it this year. Your incredible string of marathons last fall and all the long drives in between prove that you have what it takes to be a great ultra runner. I look forward to running on Cranberry again next year and to the great competition and commradarie from you and Joe. Thanks to Gary and Mary and all the other volunteers. Your hospitality and desire to please the runners make all the Crow events the best I have had the pleasure of attending. I made so many trips to Maine in the last year that it feels like a second home to me. And congratulations to all the other competitors who battled the heat and sunshine and contributed to the 100% finisher rate. I really enjoyed the stories of running legends Mike Brooks, Ron Paquette and Larry Macon. I was so inspired by Mike's story of completing Badwater and then scaling Mount Whitney that I hiked to the top of Cadiliac Mountain on Sunday. I sure do hurt bad today.
