2:59:52 10th place it is about 75 degrees here right now free beer!!!! at the finish. I had to stop to take a crap on the side of the road and it almost cost me my 51st sub 3 to matvch my old age, best of all my first was in 1978 at age 21 so the makes 30 years of doing these at more or less the same speed...tust me it isn't getting any easier I'm going to the beach Saw Sheri Piers she hammered the half in 1:16

Gary, Congratulations on another wicked awesome run. I see your coming back my way a little bit with your finish time just under the 3 hour wire. Sub 3:00 for Marquis at Sugarloaf. If we by chance happen to be running together at Sugarloaf and you deviate from the course to "drop a loaf", I will not put up with that crap and surge ahead. Caw, Caw, Caw! Just Kidding... roger david et al you don't want to know how beautiful the weather is here, so I won't tell you. I running doubles wearing socks, shoes, shorts and sunglasses which should give you a hint. Anyway more on the race, I was a one gear queer the other day and couldn't run 6:40s so settled in to 6:50s and never really felt bad just couldn't go any faster. I was catching guys and was shocked to see 2:51 won it. Last years champ (Mike A)had a 1.5 mile lead at mile 19 (out and back section) and fell apart (he ran 2:57)I guess the heat affected people? As for my nature break it was a first and I hope last, still thinking of the blue haired old ladies passing me in their lexus with my shorts at half mast(no bushes no problem)...funny stuff!I could really care less about being modest or a pig! oink oink g --Previous Message-- : Gary, : : Congratulations on another wicked awesome : run. if Age grading counted it would be pretty fun! Check out the AG results below and see what place I would be in! Gary, Congrats! Pulling a nature break and still going sub 3 is awesome. I was proud to recover from an untied shoelace in Portland, but you had to deal with much more complicated circumstances! Well done. I am completely envious of the weather you describe-I can't remember what a warm run feels like.
