Bar Harbor 1/2 Marathon News and More!

bumped into several old friends at the middle school XC meet tonight in Ellsworth. All the kids ran great! It was equally great to see Jim Newett who is slowly on the mend, I wish him the best and hope he is back in top form soon! Andy Beardsly was there and told me about his upcoming marathon plans in Chicago and that he planned to run MDI as he hasn't missed one yet! Louie Luchini was also there and said he is excited to try his skills at marathon running and that he was running the Bar Harbor Half on Saturday. If he is in top form the long standing record of 1:07:06 recorded back in 1991 by Paul McGovern might be in serious jeopardy. I just got done running a brisk 10 in NEH! heading back to Cranberry now. bon-voyage!
