Running in the State of Maine has never been more popular! Runners come from every county, every region, and represent many distinct clubs dedicated to building even stronger runners and running communities throughout our great state. Most of our amazing and diverse running clubs have useful web sites and many feature interactive message boards, and as we all know conversation builds enthusiasm, camaraderie, and participation. However, having so many individual message boards sometimes can dilute important information, results, and pictures.
Martin Luther King , Jr. once said, "We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."
With this in mind we cordially invite all Maine running clubs to consider adopting the new Maine Running Forum (MRF), www.mainerunningforum.com, as the preferred message board. This interactive site has features not found anywhere else that allow users to easily post pictures, videos, upcoming event information, and much, much more. Most importantly it will allow us all to get to know each other.
The apropos Latin translation of the Dirigo RC motto is, "I lead", and in turn, they have already adopted the MRF, and we hope other Maine running clubs will follow their "lead", including those who may already have message boards, or those that don't, and will add a link and work to encourage their members to use this valuable, one-stop resource in an effort that will unite all Maine runners.
We think Maine runners are the best in New England and beyond and we hope to continue to be the envy of runners all across the USA by continuing to be creative, forward thinking and working (talking and running) together while still maintaining our separate and important club identities.
Thank You,
Maine Running Forum
