152 miles in 29 days, lets see how 165 feels in May...
a few good mileposts during the month, my first 40 mile week (3 of them) in about 10 years... 3 runs over 11 miles, with one over 12 during the month...slogged all of em in under 8's.... daily training pace is settling in a bit quicker between 7:15-7:40's depending on the day/distance and had 3 runs at under 7 min pace one in the 6:30s....all 4 miles or less but I'll take it.
Best thing I ever did was joining a weekly stretching clinic/class at the end of March, it is organized by the New York Road Runners and administered by the physical therapy group that has worked with the US olympic marathon team for a long time...they've basically taken a broken down old car in me and fixed me up so I "run" better than I have any right to at this point.
check out their book (the Wharton's Stretch Book) or website at www,aistretch.com (ai stretch refers to active isolated stretching which is the technique they employ.)
