hey everybody, reporting from the media center at the finish line. just had a nice converstation with Joan Benoit Samuelson and Amby Burfoot, 1968 winner. I am surrounded by world wide press, who are busily sending information to media sources around the world. brief report: 2 major goals accomplished today, 1. finish. 2. break 3 hours. My third goal was to beat last year's time (2:55) was not reachable, which is fine. My run went well. I never really exploded, but on the other hand I didn't have the extra hear I was looking for. I am perfectly happy with the result and happy to have notched my 52nd sub-3 and 15th Boston.
