Update #1: 112th BAA Boston Marathon

So it's about 9:30, and I'm set up in the media center. The wheel chair division started just as I opened my laptop. It's pretty amazing to be seated in front of the tracking board that is being updated with wheel chair splits. The footage that is shown on screen also carries through during the commercial breaks, so there is a fair amount of behind the scenes action. The elite women just started, and Jelena Prokopcuka is leading the pack. With a first mile split of 5:23. Our friend, John Elliott, from from MarathonGuide.com is sitting a row ahead of me, and some nice guys who love Maine are sitting behind me. ... 10:00ish... The elite men and first wave just started. Unofficial split time for various divisions are being handed out like candy... more soon...
