a met this guy (click below) when he passed me at about mile 30 of the 2005 Knickerbocker 60K and again when we ran about 10 miles together at the Yonkers Marathon in 2006. He is a nice guy and I hope he cracks 2:30 at Napa. He invited me to come stay with him in Yonkers especially after I told him I slept for 2 hours in the back of my truck before the race.
Knickerbocker 60K
1. ARNSTEIN MICHAEL M28 552 NEW YORK NY 4:34:28 7:22
2. ALLEN GARY M48 550 CRANBERY ISLAND ME 4:37:29 7:27
2006 Yonkers Marathon
11. MICHAEL ARNSTEIN (M29) 2:58:06
15. GARY ALLEN (M49) 3:05:57
note: yes the Yonkers course is as hard or harder than it is advertised and it is the second oldest marathon in the USA. I highly recommend it!
