Blue Planet Run update: day 55

Wednesday, July 25 : Bayan Qagan, CN
Today was the team’s first full day running through the People’s Republic of China. They were glad to be back on paved roads and not surprised the countryside of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region didn’t look all that different from their travels through Mongolia itself. Not only is this region the residence of the world's tallest man, Bao Xishun at 7 feet 9 inches, it is also the home of Genghis Khan! The team's time in China is short and though they had to stay on the same road all day, they did pass through one city – Bayan Qagan – around 4:30 in the morning. While there wasn’t much going on in rural China at that hour, a little later in the morning Team Silver was stopped by a family driving by in their car because the kids wanted David’s autograph - he happily obliged. A little later on Team Silver passed by a group of 20-30 people along the route, so the van stopped again to make friends while David continued his run.
