Although many team members are reporting slightly queasy stomachs, they are still in good spirits and look forward to getting back on some asphalt. Simon Isaacs describes, “It’s a breathtaking place: nomadic Gers (Yurts) dot the windswept open fields; horses run free along the roadside; jagged, sandy peaks rise in the distance; and to the East, the vast Gobi stretches as far as the eye can see.” In one of the most interactive and exciting moments the team has had in a while, a group of 10 environmental scientists showed up at an exchange point about 30 miles outside the Chinese border. They had heard about the run and came out to support the team and learn more about what these runners were doing! In the late hours the team crossed into China, their third country in five days... Miss the runners? Check out their video interviews at http://blueplanetrun.org/run/team and click on “video”! Take care, everyone, and thanks for your support!
