1st step isn't so hard

coming into my 6th week with a new (rebuilt) achilles tendon.....finally got out of the cast last week...stitches are out... scars (one on each side) are healing.... now in a boot ( well in and out) still on crutches but actually took my first steps (well kinda shuffled) across the room tonight and fortunately with no pain. i can't quite imagine running or even walking up a hill but i am going back to the dr. for a check up on thursday and based on the last visit, I think I may get the go ahead to "officially" try moving around a bit more without the crutches....that'd be a NICE christmas present!
