Larry & Gary: Here is my weekly totals for week one of my speed program. Sat. 6 mile Race in Holoke, MA. ran steady sixes. Sunday: 2 mile easy pace 7 minutes on powerlines. Monday: Eagle Lake & Aunt Betty's first two easy seven ran hills at six minute pace. Tuesday: Ran steady up & down Caddilac on S. Ridge trail in about one hour for seven minute pace. Wed. easy 5k around Bar Harbor. Thurs. Easy Eagle Lake with some fartlek for one hundred meters every two to three minutes. Friday: Witch Hole warm-up and five hill repetes on the big hill near the visitors center. Still feel like I am strong but not ready to push into 5 minute pace for any longer distance. Maybe next week.
