2018Eastern Extravaganza
Posted by Jack Wall on March 22, 2018, 2:17 pm
A couple items of interest for the upcoming Eastern Extravaganza sponsored by CPS. Over 240 head of entries from nearly 60 consignors have entered to this great event. Please make sure you have registration papers on all of your purebred entries. This is a requirement to show them in the breed classes. Additionally, please have your Health papers in order and the appropriate statements, ear tags and needed permits (for out of state consignors) are in order and 2 copies are presented for each consignment. The CPS staff will be able to take the Peoria office breeds with them on Friday if you inform the staff that is what your desires are. A reminder that we will not have access to the barn until approximately 10:00 pm on Saturday due to the Go Big Or Go Home sale being held that day. Weather update- I do not try to forecast the weather but several weather experts are calling for 6-8 inch accumulation of snow from late Friday-Saturday evening at 8:00 pm. It does appear likely that some accumulation will occur so please plan accordingly. It also appears that travel on Sunday should not be compromised in that area as Sundays temperature calls for 40 with some sun and clouds. Buyers coming on Sunday should have absolutely no trouble getting to the Boone County Fairgrounds on Sunday and the Boone County Pork Producers will be manning the Concession Stand. Travel safe and we are excited about this sale. The sift will begin at 11:00 Eastern Time and sale scheduled for 3:00 pm. If you have any questions, please call Jeff Morris or myself. We will be glad to assist in any way we can. See you all on Sunday March 25 in Lebanon, Indiana.
