Sometimes sadly its hard to tell the breed particularly between Spots and Polands without a playbook. I think it likely happens more often in southern shows where classification doesn't require pedigrees. Even then it's hard to make a distinction based on visual appearence. For me there's no such thing as a dual purpose female irregardless of breed. I know of only one purpose for females that's to cycle, settle on time, farrow large litters with little or no assistance of high quality healthy pigs, milk to the max and then do it all over again. I know of no other purpose for females!!!
