MAKE YOU THINK A LITTLE

I received either a text or email the other day on a question to ponder.. Here was the question If you had one question to ask any livestock breeder living or dead, what question would you ask them and whom do you ask? They offered their own example. I would ask Jerry Litton "what one aspect of breeding and selling purebred livestock is most important and why? Additional questions have arisen. They include- " I would ask Dr. Lauren Christian that when you saw pigs dying from what we now know of as porcine stress syndrome, what prompted you to use gas on them to see if they were challenged with liveaability and how did you approach it when you determined this was not normal? A second question offered would be to Jack Rodibaugh- and this person would ask him, when you purchased the Chester White boar Charger, what prompted you to breed him to Hampshire females and not Duroc or other breed females to produce unparalled success in market hog show rings and the resulting matings that we now know is the making of the world famous "JASPER'? Pretty interesting and defining questions I would say. Your turn now....Time for and education folks.
