New National Show Sale Policy
Posted by jack Wall. on July 22, 2016, 1:51 pm
Effective with the 2016 National Barrow Show and all Nationally sponsored shows after that, the CPS Staff and judge of that event will have the latitude and authority to possibly limit the number of boars and or gilts in the show to be consigned to the sale. In an effort to possibly reduce a little of the time utilized for the conduct of the sale, it is our attempt to make things a little more sensible in time management. This decision will be used only when the staff and/or judge feels lower placing animals may detract from the sale. In no means does this mean that at all shows and all locations this activity will be utilized, it just gives one the authority and notice that this could occur. We are not attempting to reduce the number of hogs entered or possible even sold, just attempting to create a method to better accommodate sellers, buyers and staff. All entries consigned to the National Shows will be given the opportunity to attempt to sell their stock in the auction, but in some cases an exhibitor may be asked to pay a Sale entrance fee to be entered. I hope I have not confused all of you but feel free to contact me with any questions. The above decision was unanimously approved by the CPS Executive Committee in Springfield, Illinois on June 30, 2016. Sincerely, Jack Wall
