On behalf of the Indiana Poland China Association I want to touch out and let everyone aware of a few matters of business.
Indiana State Purebred Breeders Meeting Info-
It is possible that in 2010 the Indiana State Fair may do-away with the open barrow show. Nothing set in stone at this time, but is possible and will go before the state fair exucutive board.
At the current time, it looks like the jr show will remane with the current format. In the future it may work out where the berks, polands, tams, and herfords will show on wednesday for the open breeding stock, this maybe a longshot, but it is current thought and on the table.
This in turn may create more of a larger number of buyers and perhaps some more boar stud traffic in the future.
The Indiana Polands will require all first, second, and third place gilts to sell. In the past it has been only 1 and 2 however most of the thirds have been offered via the sale.
All open class breeding stock checks were sent on 9-25-09, any questions regarding those contact Kim Warren at765-918-1687.
Breeders that had hogs in the sale that did not sell those pedigrees will be mailed here yet this week.
Thank You for your support of the Poland China Breed in the State of Indiana.
