Although the following information that I am posting is at this time not confirmed, the initial dates for the 2010 Team Purebred and four breed summer type confernced is July 6-10, 2010 in Springfield, illinois. This change of date is neccesitated by several factors. I will try to explain these reasons. The 2010 World Pork Expo dates are june 9-12. if were to retain our dates we have had the past several years, this would be only one full week between these two events. NSR will host there 2010 STC June 29-July3. Each of the four board of director presidents, Team Purebred Coordinator have unanimously voted to conduct this event on the dates of July 6-10 and attempt to keep these dates again for 2111, as in 2111 NSR will be hosting there event on July 12-16. We are aware that a different set of county fair participants could be affected, and we are also aware that this change will not appease everyone, however the four breed presidents and staffs feel this change is in the best interest for participants that wish to attend the WPX and STC, as well as NSR events. No contracts have been signed as of this posting, however the Illinois State Fairgrounds has been contacted and cleared for this date. Please understand that this descision was made with the best interest of exhibitors, staff and sponsors. We are also confident that each of you forum readers will apprciate this information, share it with your friends and appreciate the early notice and understand the thoughts put behind this descicion.
