greg...i'll try to answer your question the best i can...after the swtc at belton,texas many of our active particapting breeders brought this concern to many of the board members present..that probably it was time for the poland breed to move forward ...and to delete stress positive hogs from our 4 national, major breeding stock conferences [they noted to the board members,the buyer acceptence for positive hogs had decreased the last several years as well..]..those board members asked me if we could discuss this issue at our next board meeting and if action was taken, that we could let our membership know ASAP before their fall breeding season..your board, continued to get support on this issue thru out the spring and summer from our membership..and last week at the stc board meeting ..they all felt it was a sound decision at this time to move in that direction...[they also understand, that positives have benefits to some breeders and their particular programs to make progress in the directions they so desire..]..greg,i want to thank you for your personal thoughts on this issue...hope you have a good summer...jr reid,pcra board pres..
