I would urge all Poland Breeders to rethink this rule change. I would surley hate to see the poland breed die. It has been in my family for years! We tried a push similar to this years ago and found that the hogs we not as good without the stress gene. I would also ask you to look at the history books and count how many of the great ones were sired by positive boars or had mothers that were positive. We should urge breeders to bring those breed changers to the show and let those who want to utilize them do so. The breeders will make the decision to buy or not to buy. But by not allowing breeders to exhibit those hogs, breeders may miss the piece they need. Not every person can get to every farm to find those pieces. I am curious why we have put this rule in the books?
