Thanks for your insight on the boar. My son and I missed the show but did get to Springfield on Friday night to go through the boars. I am not sure that Al was off in his judging just read them different then some. We live fairly close to
Lean Value and will probably use the dirks and waits boar a little, because of the convienance of picking up semen. My son liked the boar Hi Point bought and I think we will use him because I liked him too. I would like to visit the boar studs during their open houses this fall to see these boars when some of the fat comes off of them. It was also interesting to see the difference of pedigrees in the show. A very healthy mix. Poland breeders don't have a giant gene pool to pick from, yet they are all doing different things which is good for the breed. It is an enjoyable breed with very loyal young and old breeders.
