Ok I have read all the responses and am not any clearer than I was before.
In all the paper work that I saw, I did not see anything that said "pigs must be blood tested for..."
If this is the first time a person is going to show at a national show, where would we have gotten the information of the exact health requirements? Which paper in the packet had that info? I don't mean to be dense, this was the first national show we signed up to do, we have been to lots of shows over the last 8 years so not rookies. Just didn't even think about bleeding hogs since we haven't had to do that for years here in Indiana.
If we had known the pigs had to be blood tested, and got a vet to do that, would the vet have known what to test for?
We will know next year if we decide to try agian, just trying to figure out where I missed it and maybe help someone else in the process.
