For as much self promotion that was done on this sale, it should have been better. You have a responsibility to other consignors when you hold an auction. You can't have ringmen and clerks not show up. You need to have ALL of that lined up in advance. You also can't have a pig sale in this day and time with average pigs, as the market will no longer allow this. Falling back on gimmicks like raffles and door prizes isn't a suitable replacement for offering a barn full of healthy, sellable, high quality showpigs.
