I mixed some gilts yesterday,they fought for a while and one of them went dowm.I planned to home butcher her this morning but found her dead.She was still warm and flexible.I went ahead and butchered her out as well as skinned her.Her temp was 93 degrees.After prosessing her I seen the reason she went down.Her back apeared to be broke,as there was swelling on part of her loin and spine.Is she safe to eat?Has anyone else ever done this.I know hogs aren't worth much right now but I hate to waste her.
