She had pleanty of thick fur on the scruff of her neck due to winter being long after it's starting stage, and therefore Cortana wasn't very worried about Tayen's grip just yet. The black wolfess still had a lot of work to do before she fit her jaws around any muscle, though she was getting closer. Instead, the pink and white wolfess decided to focus on her bit, having felt the scraping of skin against her teeth. Due to Tayen's hold, she couldn't move very far away, making it easier to make contact for Cortana. Aiming her bite for the same place she'd hit before with a graze, Cortana made a lurching movement, feeling the tug on her skin on the back of her neck. Jaws wide open, she hoped to get a bite this time.
