A watchfull eye trained on Tayen saw the jaws coming. The pink and white striped wolfess leaned back and gave a sideways swipe, clearly at Tayen's eye level. Pink cores still fixed on the black wolf's movement, Cortana watched as if in slow motion as the jaws clicked closed in the air just below her chin. Spreading her pads wide, she waited for impact or imbalance to rule her next step, both able to be corrected quickly.
