Even when Katannah had finished speaking, Tayen took a moment to reflect on her words. Cortana had changed Katannah's mind about committing suicide for Lestat's benefit... yet it still came back to Cortana. Tayen's anger was relieved, yet she was still digging for the complete cause of this. It would be too much to hold the decision of life against Katannah, and a bit of understanding was already reached. The wolf hadn't seen the cause as worth dying for, and found a place where she could belong without being a mere foot stool.
"I respect your decision," she said finally, yet slowly as well. "Did Cortana betray Lestat for your benefit... or did she have an alterior motive?" Her silver eyes remained in contact with Katannah's, the dragons in the background also listening with curiousity, completley comfortable in their former home.
