Yet another surprise; Katannah, here within Cortana's lands! She had been counted on to ignite the fire in the volcano... that was where the plan had been intersected. For a moment, speaking with Cortana fleed Tayen's mind completely, as Katannah had the larger part in this. But Tayen was less angered by the betrayal in itself as she was worried about the alliance she had almost placed herself in with the alpha of this pack.
"I came to speak with Cortana... but while you're here, I may as well ask you the questions." She slowly sat to her haunches, glancing behind her to be sure that the dragon's had maintained their lower positions; Deep Sea's eyes were shut in a doze, as Zig-Zag's violet ones glanced around curiously, its large tail causing a rustle as it flicked lazily back and forth across the ground.
"What caused you to betray Lestat?"
