The black and grey pup entered the pack lands, leaving his caretaker Cortana to do what ever business she needed to do. Even as Blade came up to the borders of the pack lands the smell of Cortana was all over, though the smell of some other was still lingering under her scent. The almost adolescent pup began to run teal eyes darting around for the den that Cortana had mentioned to him when he skidded to a halt and spotted a metallic blue egg. "Its a dragon egg," He whispered to himself, padding slowly closer to it.
So much had happened to him recently that he couldn't believe his new turn of good luck. First he had escaped his mother, and adult wolf that was tricked by a pup, still funny in his mind. He had found Cortana again, and she took him to his father who made her keep him! Just what he wanted, he didn't want to be with the black brute. Blade didn't hate his father, just his mother, his father did take good care of him while he was around but he did prefer the company of the oddly colored wolfess.
The egg wasn't moving much in the snow, just shaking every once in a while, which unnerved Blade, was it dieing from the cold? Then ears perked he heard voices. Straining his ears he could tell they were female and young but not sure what they were doing here, he would have sworn Cortana said that he would be the only one. But maybe the pups now here were her business she attended to then she left again? The dual colored pup shook his head, he had to make sure this dragon lived, Cortana would be VERY upset if it were to pass with out him around, so curling up around the egg he continued to scout around for the hole that was her den.
